The awards and scholarships below are offered through Rome College Foundation. We encourage interested students to speak with their guidance counselors or financial aid officers to learn about these and other financial aid opportunities.

Current Scholarship Listing

  1. Charles T. Beeching - Revere Copper Products, Inc. Family Scholarship
    Applicants must be a son or daughter of a Rome-based Revere employee, and is based on scholastic achievement, citizenship, & community activities. Applications distributed at Revere Copper Products.
  2. Credit Bureau of Utica/Rome College Foundation
    Presented to a student pursuing studies in an accredited program leading to a degree in Business or a Health-related discipline at a local college or university.
  3. Lawrence E. Reames Scholarship
    The annual $500 Lawrence E. Reames Scholarship will be presented to a graduating RFA senior  who will major in an environmental-related curriculumas a college freshman. The scholarship is sponsored by Deborah Myers on behalf of her brother, Lawrence, who passed away in September 2005.   Applications available from RFA guidance counselors.
  4. M. Carolyn Glesmann Scholarship
    Presented each year to a graduating RFA, RCS, or NYSSD senior who will major in a physical science curriculum as a freshman.  Applications available from NYSSD, RFA and RCS guidance counselors.
  5. Mid-Career Incentive Award
    The Rome College Foundation awards $1,000 grants to Rome area college students. These awards, called the Mid-Career Incentive Awards, are based on academic achievement, citizenship, and need. They are awarded to four students who qualify, one each from Utica College, SUNYIT, Mohawk Valley Community College, and Hamilton College. Applications available at financial aid offices at these colleges.
  6. PAR Technology Corporation Scholarship
    Candidates must be high school graduates from RFA and RCS and enrolled as a second-year college student at a local college majoring in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, with the long-range plan of living and working in Central New York if the opportunity arises. The applicant must posses a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or higher at the time of application; must be willing to work up to 20 hours per week at PAR Technology Corporation or one of its subsidiaries (paid employment); must maintain a college grade point average of at least 3.0 out of a possible 4.0 or its equivalent, or be subject to review and placement on probation with one semester to attain a 3.0 for that semester.  The annual scholarship is $3,150.   7. Peter A. Fabrizio, Jr. Scholarship
    Awarded to a Rome third grader who holds the highest grade average at the Rome Catholic School.
  8. Rev. Robert A. O'Meara Scholarship
    Presented to those adults who wish to enhance their current human service skills, to re-enter the human services, or to change their career to human services. First priority will be given to adult members of the First Presbyterian Church, second priority to undergraduate students who are members of the First Presbyterian Church and third priority to high school graudates who members of the First Presbyterian Church.   9. Rome Twigs Scholarship
    On behalf of the Rome Twigs, the Foundation awards scholarships to qualified students from RFA and RCS to who will be pursuing careers in nursing or health-related fields. Each student receives a Twigs Scholarship in varying amounts. The scholarships are funded by the Twigs to honor the memory of their deceased members.
