  Partnerships, Scholarships, Service, and Recognition

M. Carolyn Glesmann died in 2003 and donated $14,000 to the Foundation. Originally from Rome, Carol majored in science at Wellesley College, received a graduate degree in chemistry from Vassar College where she also taught, and worked in research at Kodak in Rochester before retiring and moving back to Rome. She was very active in our community. Beginning in 2004, the Foundation began annual awards of $1,000 to a graduating RFA, RCS, or NYSSD senior who will major in a physical science curriculum as a freshman.  Applications available from NYSSD, RFA and RCS guidance counselors.
